Company: MASS Concrete (Cast Advanced Concretes Ltd)
Location: Building 101, Bournemouth Airport, Christchurch, Dorset, with regular UK travel to clients and sites

About MASS Concrete
MASS Concrete designs and manufactures offsite Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) and precast concrete for architects, designers, contractors and brands. Our work ranges from facade panels and flooring to bespoke feature elements, furniture and awards, for large commercial and retail projects across the UK.
Sustainability sits at the heart of what we make. We build circular economy principles into our mixes, using recycled aggregates such as crushed mirror glass, local shingle and industrial by-products. Everything is made in our own factory in Dorset, from design and engineering through to installation.
The role
The Sales and Marketing Lead owns MASS Concrete’s revenue: winning new specifications, growing key accounts and turning enquiries into profitable orders the factory can deliver. You will lead a team of three, including in-house marketing, and work hand in hand with the Commercial Director, Operations Director and in-house engineer.
This is a senior, hands-on role. You will be in front of architects and main contractors, shaping projects from concept to installation, while building the systems, pipeline and reporting that let the business scale.
Key responsibilities
Sales strategy and growth
- Set and deliver the annual sales plan, revenue and margin targets, agreed with the Board
- Identify and prioritise target sectors, including commercial, retail, hospitality, workplace and residential development
- Build long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, main contractors and brand clients to secure early specification
- Lead on major bids, tenders and commercial negotiations
Team leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of three across sales and marketing, setting clear individual targets and KPIs
- Run regular pipeline reviews and one-to-ones
- Recruit and onboard new sales and technical sales coordinators as the business grows
Marketing
- Direct the in-house marketing team and manage the external agency covering SEO and AI visibility
- Own the multi-channel marketing plan, including campaigns, photography, video content and industry events
- Represent MASS Concrete at trade shows, awards and industry networking, such as London Design Festival and the Mix Awards
Pipeline, systems and reporting
- Own the CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting and data quality
- Deliver monthly sales and marketing reporting to the Board
- Continuously improve sales workflows, quoting and automated reporting
Project delivery and collaboration
- Work with the Operations Director and factory supervisors to align sales commitments with production capacity and lead times
- Partner with the in-house engineer on technical proposals, samples and specifications
- Support smooth handover from sale to site, liaising with site managers on installation and logistics
- Champion our sustainability story and recycled material offer with clients
What success looks like in year one
- Annual revenue target met, at or above target margin
- A qualified pipeline target met, tracked accurately in the CRM
- New architect and contractor relationships converted into specified projects
- A settled, high-performing sales team, each member hitting their individual KPIs
- A marketing plan that measurably grows inbound enquiries and online visibility
- Clear monthly reporting to the Board, and sales forecasts that align with factory capacity
Experience and skills
Essential
- At least 5 years in B2B sales within construction, building products, architectural products or offsite manufacturing
- Proven experience leading and developing a sales team
- A track record of winning specification through architects, designers and main contractors
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, negotiation and margin management on bespoke projects
- Confident use of a CRM for pipeline management and forecasting
- Excellent presentation, written and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
- Knowledge of GRC, precast concrete or other architectural concrete products
- Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and construction tendering
- Experience overseeing marketing, including digital, SEO and content
- A genuine interest in sustainable materials and circular construction
- Existing network across UK architecture, interiors and commercial fit-out
If you meet most of the essential criteria but not every one, we’d still like to hear from you.
