The structural and aesthetic foundation of this mix relies on a thoughtful balance between responsibly sourced luxury aggregates and recycled materials. To anchor the palette with a sophisticated depth, we have integrated a premium trio of Italian marble aggregates, including the pristine brightness of Bianco Carrara, the classic tonal depth of Bardiglio, and the dramatic tones of Verdi Alpi (5–8mm). These carefully selected stones provide the traditional texture and structural integrity expected of top-tier architectural concrete.

 

To elevate its sustainability profile, we have blended these premium marbles with a 3–6mm recycled Derbyshire Green Glass aggregate. By utilising locally sourced, diverted glass materials, we significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with transport and raw material extraction. Crucially for specifiers and lighting designers, this finish yields a certified Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 45.16%, providing an ideal balance of visual texture and light distribution.

 

While the standard finish is lightly exposed and polished to achieve a sleek, smooth aesthetic, the surface can be tailored across diverse spatial layouts, from bespoke feature wall panelling to reception furniture and wet-area applications like vanity sinks. 

 

While this iteration serves as a benchmark for eco-forward terrazzo finishes, our core mix formulas can be technically calibrated to match any bespoke colour reference, RAL, or Pantone code. Consciously crafted at our UK facility using responsible, closed-loop production methods, the AW91_IND_P_LE_SIKA mix allows architects, interior specifiers, and principal contractors to confidently specify a premium finish that balances high-end design with environmental integrity.
