ZG65_INDP_LE_SP – Zinc Grey Architectural Concrete
The ZG65_INDP_LE_SP sample showcases a bespoke Zinc Grey concrete finish featuring a distinctive blend of light aggregates that create texture and visual contrast across the surface. The combination of fine particles and larger 10mm aggregate introduces variation in size and shape, giving the material its characteristic appearance. Subtle tonal differences between the aggregates and the surrounding Zinc Grey concrete add depth while maintaining a balanced overall finish. With a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 44.24%, the sample offers a relatively high level of light reflectance, making it a versatile option for architectural applications where material texture and light interaction are important design considerations.
Sustainability guides how we develop every mix at MASS Concrete. For the ZG65 finish, we prioritise locally sourced aggregates where available and suitable for the project, helping to reduce transportation distances and support regional supply chains, while considered material selection and bespoke mix design ensure the finish responds to each project’s aesthetic and technical requirements.
Built for demanding environments, including wet-area applications like vanity sinks, the ZG65 surface is protected by a multi-stage factory sealing process. The concrete matrix is first deep-treated to close and pore-fill the surface, then finished with an advanced protective sealant coat and a layer of micro-crystalline wax. This allows architects and designers to balance aggregate selection, surface character, durability and environmental impact when specifying a light grey architectural concrete.
