Kingston University named UK's best new building

Designed by RIBA Gold Medal-winning Grafton Architects, the landmark building has been crowned the winner of the 2021 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) 25th Stirling Prize. Topping a shortlist of six buildings, its now named as the UK’s best new building, receiving one of the most prestigious awards in architecture.

Opened in January 2020, Kingston University Town House is a 6-storey structure built entirely from precast concrete. Brought to life by main-contractor Willmott Dixon Construction, the building is rated BREEAM Excellent.

Working with C&C Catering Fabrications who built the servery counter and joinery, MASS manufactured and installed the bespoke concrete bar surfaces in a traditional Grey finish.
