Becontree Sculptural Street Furniture
Becontree is a permanent collection of Sculptural Pre-Cast concrete Street Furniture at 6 locations through-out the estate commissioned by Peak Morison.
Both concrete finishes use a hand selected combination of aggregates to compliment the surrounding areas, with smooth polished terrazzo style tops with a contrasting retarded finish for the vertical units.
Circular benches all offering places of rest and contemplation which would previously have been overlooked. The designs utilise the same palette of materials and basic forms used interchangeably-the cone, the cylinder and the slab with hemisheres on top called coconuts.
Becontree is the third project MASS Concrete have had the pleasure of working with Ivan Morison and Heather Peak of Peak Morison.
