Debossed concrete text in an ice cream parlour

Gladstone's Land

Gladstone's Land

Gladstone’s Land is in Edinburgh city centre, situated on the Royal Mile and supported by National Trust for Scotland. A historic 6-storey tenement building with apartments on each upper floor and a brand-new luxury coffee shop and ice cream parlour at ground level.

Cultural and heritage architectural design experts Drinkall Dean were commissioned to redevelop the ground floor commercial aspects as well as the upper floor apartments into luxury accommodation.

The project features MASS bar surfaces, ice cream counter tops, a waiter station and table tops all with interpretation graphics by Pryah Design debossed into the edges. A unique strip of exposed decorative aggregate is polished in the centre of all surfaces.

MASS kitchen counter tops and splashbacks feature in all of the upper floor apartments and all surfaces were sealed with a hard-wearing antimicrobial epoxy resin.
